About Cástor
Cástor Rivas-Iribarren is a classical figurative painter with academic training in Venezuela, under the guidance of painters Randjel Spasic and Patrizia Rizzo. He has also taken lessons from the great artist Emilia Cantor, based in Costa Rica.
With more than ten years of experience and a continuous dedication to mastering the craft, his work is rooted in the great classical figurative tradition, inspired by the masters he admires most: Caravaggio, Diego Velázquez, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau.
He specializes in commissioned oil portraits and sacred art. Among his most significant works is Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, a commission that reflects his ability to combine academic technique with spiritual depth.
He currently works from Costa Rica, serving clients in Latin America, the United States, and Europe.
